Halloween, the one time of year brooms come out for reasons other than cleaning. But this isn’t an excuse to take the month off scrubbing. This spooktastic season rid your home of cobwebs, dust and all things creepy.

You might find your home is already decorated for Halloween this October with the amount of cobwebs you have accidentally allowed build up. Not to fear, cobwebs can easily be removed with a good cobweb duster. Don’t own a duster? Simply add a fluffy sock to the end of a long stick and move across any cobweb covered areas.

A build up in dust usually wouldn’t go unnoticed, however there are areas in the home, such as behind large appliances and vents that often get forgotten during regular dusting. This Halloween, simply use a long-handled and a slightly damp sponge mop to lift dust from the back of the appliances and the surfaces of vents.

Tis the season for creepy-crawlies. Any Irish person can tell you autumn is prime time for spiders. Keep these furry crawlers away by spraying peppermint oil around your home. Fill a standard spray bottle with water and mix in 15 to 20 drops of peppermint oil. Spray down all the cracks and corners of your house to enjoy a spider free Halloween.
